Notre hôtel

A heritage steeped in history

Hôtel Neuvice is set in a group of old buildings, some of them listed, in the heart of Liège’s historic centre. They still bear witness to the neighbourhood’s past as a district of merchants and craftsmen.

For centuries, rue Neuvice was home to printers, jewellers and traders. That heritage lives on in the façades, the materials and the details that give the hotel its character today.

An address reinvented

Restored and extended over more than five years, Hôtel Neuvice was designed to preserve the history of the place while adapting it to the way we live today. Natural materials, clean lines, artworks and contemporary touches enter into dialogue with the existing architecture.

The hotel’s story is closely linked to Jean-François Bassompierre (1709–1776), a Liège printer and bookseller whose former home and workshop are part of the original building. It also recalls the commercial past of rue Neuvice, once frequented by Liège goldsmiths and craftsmen.

Today, 44-46 En Neuvice continues that story in a new way: a hotel open to the city, where people come to stay, to meet and to enjoy Liège at their own pace.
